Tomlinson Lifestyle Medicine Consulting was established to address the disproportionate health disparities impacting Black and underserved communities. We develop equitable community care initiatives for community members to be happier and live a more productive life where they live.
We help bridge the gaps by collaboratively working with clients to implement community health and wellness solutions, action plans, updated official community wellness plans, or other strategic plans with an equity lens. We believe our schemes will help to foster positive health outcomes for all community members to thrive.
We aim to promote and advocate for more access to community health and wellness programs in fostering lifelong health for community members. We also serve as a community care agency helping you find local health practitioners or booking speakers to deliver lunch and learn wellness seminars or training.
We developed a comprehensive exercise and lifestyle modification program tailored to patients with diabetes. We added and implemented a medical exercise policy and procedures to ensure patient safety, including a head injury protocol.
Mindfulness practice carries many benefits, including good mental well-being. So we designed a simple mindfulness program, adding cultural elements for racialised groups to appreciate and enjoy.
We created simple home therapeutic exercise prescriptions for those with musculoskeletal pain and other health conditions. Coming soon, a Wellness Kinesiology @ home toolkit for healthcare professionals.
Walking is the most simple and fun physical activity anyone can do. All you need is a good pair of walking shoes. So, we initiated neighbourhood walking programs encouraging women to move more, adapting active living as part of their daily routine.
